My Story
After dedicating 10 years of my childhood to the beautiful but arduous study of ballet, I graduated from The National Ballet School of Canada at 17. Shifting focus and art forms, I went to college and upon receiving my BFA in Theater:Acting, I started a 25 year acting career that was both personally and financially rewarding. I moved my home from Toronto, Canada to Los Angeles, California in 1997 when my career opportunities expanded.
I was married at 37 and we wanted to become parents, but we battled with infertility for 31/2 years. When our dream finally came true, our daughter struggle with developmental issues so I took time to be a Mom and support other women struggling with infertility through Resolve, the National Fertility Network. After a few years, with my daughter fortified with the help and support she needed, i was missing my career, and longing for creative fulfillment. So, with the time I had to spare, I coached actors, directed theater and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund much needed arts programs in public schools.
Then, another bump in the road. In 2019 I went through a divorce and found myself having to create a life on my own that would return me to a place of financial and personal security. I launched my own home organizing business which offered income almost immediately. I noticed the most fulfilling aspect of this job was helping my clients understand, and let go of, their disabling attachment to stuff. I was coaching instinctively. I was using the skills I had developed helping actors trust their vulnerability to allow deeper connection, and building their self esteem for greater confidence. It was always about letting go of the old to let in the new. To learn more I watched a coaching demo, and I was inspired! in 2020, I went back to school and became a Certified Health and Life Coach.
Throughout my life, I have suffered less and had greater success because of the help and guidance I received from mentors and therapists along the way. But knowing what I know now, I could have collapsed the time from struggle to success, and lived a more joyful and vibrant life, if I had the support of a life coach.
